 Many find it difficult to distinguish between marketing and advertising. Some think marketing is interchangeable with sales because it goes along with sales and marketing. Others think that advertising is any process that facilitates business activities.

What is the difference between marketing and advertising? Both terms are often used interchangeably despite their differences. To take your business to the next level, you need to differentiate both terms. Ideally, advertising is one of the components of marketing. Marketing involves all activities that promote products or services.

Digital ads are placed on specific websites and then pop up on search engines whenever client searches for the same products. Outdoor ads can be inserted at a certain location, while transit ads are placed on vehicles whose routes travel your targeted audience.

Advertising on television and radio can be more costly, but advertising on specific stations that target your market can save abundantly. So, advertise at a specific time preferably when your customers are tuned in.
