IT’S OFFICIAL Tennessee baseball top player announced his exit after…….

Tennessee baseball won its first national championship last month when it took two of three games against Texas A&M in the Men’s College World Series Finals. It concluded a 5-1 trip to Omaha to win its first title in its seventh appearance.

The Vols became the first No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament to win the national championship since Miami did so in 1999. They are the first SEC team in history to reach 60 victories in a single season and just the fourth team to win the SEC regular season title, SEC Tournament title and the MCWS in the same season.

Tony Vitello’s first national championship in his seventh season as head coach at Tennessee came in his fifth NCAA Tournament appearance, and in UT’s third trip to Omaha in the last four seasons. UT is the only SEC program and one of just two teams nationally (Virginia) to have appeared in the College World Series in three of the last four years (2021, 2023, 2024). It just completed its first back-to-back trips.

Elite recruiting played a pivotal role in Tennessee winning its first national championship and although there will be quite a bit of roster turnover this offseason, more talent is on the way. The Volunteers’ 2024 signing class currently ranks No. 1 overall in the country according to Perfect Game, while its 2025 class ranks No. 3 and its 2026 class ranks No. 2.

GoVols247 reached out to nearly all of Tennessee’s known commitments over the next three recruiting classes to get their reaction to the program they’re committed to winning a championship. Here’s what all they had to say about UT’s exciting run in Omaha.
