Timberwolves consent to a trade involving two elite players.

Fresh off a run to the Western Conference Finals, Minnesota is adding a top-10 Draft talent to its core. The Timberwolves acquired the rights to 8th overall pick Rob Dillingham from the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for a future first-round pick and a first-round pick swap.

Spurs get:

  • 2031 first-round pick (unprotected)
  • 2030 pick swap (top 1 protected)
  • 3-point range in his lone season with Kentucky.

    San Antonio, meanwhile, adds to its growing cache of draft picks while building around reigning Kia Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs had already added Connecticut guard Stephon Castle with the fourth overall pick.
