Nate Hobbs Reveals His Mount Rushmore Of NFL CBs

Nate Hobbs #39 of the Las Vegas Raiders leaves the field after the team’s 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Allegiant Stadium on December 10, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nate Hobbs has played cornerback in the NFL with the Las Vegas Raiders since 2021.

In three years, he has already racked up 232 combined tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, and 14 passes defended.

Hobbs has also gained an appreciation for his position and for the NFL greats who played corner before he arrived in the league.

Recently, Hobbs made an appearance on “The Rush Podcast” with Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.

During the segment, Hobbs was asked who would be on his Mount Rushmore of all-time great cornerbacks.

Nate Hobbs’ Mount Rushmore of NFL CBs 🤔

Hobbs first answed with Deion Sanders, Darrelle Revis, Charles Woodson, and Champ Bailey.

He then quickly amended his final pick with Rod Woodson.

It’s not a stretch to believe that Hobbs included both Woodsons since Charles and Rod played part of their careers with the Raiders.

However, both are Hall of Famers and are considered to be two of the best corners/safeties in NFL history.

Revis was such a spectacular shutdown corner in his career with four teams (most notably the New York Jets) that he was nicknamed “Revis Island.”

Sanders is widely believed to be near the top of all-time cornerbacks in league history.

“Prime Time’s” speed, coverage skills, athleticism, and a gift of gab helped him win two Super Bowls with two different teams.

He also played professional baseball and played in a World Series with the Atlanta Braves.

Meanwhile, Hobbs is preparing to play in his fourth season with a Raiders team that hopes to improve on last year’s 8-9 record.
